Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious individual honour, at a glittering ceremony in Paris on Monday night.
The 28-year-old French international clinched the award after an exceptional 2024/25 campaign, where he netted 35 goals and registered 16 assists across all competitions. His brilliance played a decisive role in PSG’s historic season, which saw the club lift the UEFA Champions League for the very first time, alongside securing the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.

Dembélé finished ahead of Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal and other leading contenders to claim the accolade. The recognition marks the pinnacle of his career, following years of injuries and setbacks earlier in his journey.
His triumph also extends Paris Saint-Germain’s dominance on the global football stage, with the French champions sweeping major team honours in 2025, in addition to being named the Ballon d’Or Team of the Season.
The victory cements Dembélé’s legacy as one of France’s finest talents, crowning a season that will be remembered for both personal and team glory.
