A two-day digital skills training backed by Amnesty International Nigeria has empowered young activists and students nationwide with practical tools to strengthen both their advocacy and livelihoods.
Held at Denise Hotel,Wuse 2 Abuja from 8th to 9th April 2026, the program covered storytelling, graphic design, videography, legal awareness, content writing, organizing for power, Truth Deserves Defenders, and canvassing.
Comrade Damilare Adenola, Director of Digital at the Take It Back (TIB) Movement, described the training as transformative. He emphasized its dual purpose—equipping participants to engage more effectively in struggle while improving their personal economic prospects.
Participant Comrade Oshiokhue Phillip Ikpeminoghena, National Secretary of the African Action Congress (AAC), said the initiative fostered knowledge-sharing, strategic thinking, and collaboration. He noted that participants are now better positioned to drive grassroots political engagement and inspire a new generation of leaders ahead of the 2027 elections.
A key takeaway was clear: citizens must defend their rights and actively participate in leadership.
With renewed commitment, participants pledged to build strong structures, deepen political consciousness, and leverage digital tools to push for lasting change.
The training signals a growing movement where technology meets activism—fueling a bold, informed, and organized generation determined to reshape Nigeria’s future.
