By Faith Chondol

The Plateau Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA) has announced a statewide restriction of movement until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday for the monthly environmental sanitation exercise.

The exercise is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, across Jos the Plateau State Capital, according to a notice signed by the agency’s Director General, Samuel Nathaniel Dapiya.

PEPSA urged residents to clean their homes, business premises and surrounding environments while clearing drainages, waterways and culverts to reduce flooding during the peak of the rainy season.

The agency said its officials would be deployed across the state to monitor compliance with the sanitation exercise and ensure residents observe the movement restriction.

PEPSA appealed to the public to cooperate throughout the exercise, stressing that collective action is vital to maintaining a clean, healthy and environmentally sustainable Plateau State.
