As Nigerians at home and in the diaspora commemorate the nation’s resilience and strength, the act of philanthropism took the air on 1st October, 2025, as the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, “extended an unwavering support to healthcare institutions in the Yola.
According to an online source, the recent donations to Bamaiyi Hospital and New Boshang Hospital underscored Dami’s commitment to improving medical services and patient care.
The donation at Bamaiyi Hospital: 3 Wheelchairs and 20 Test Kits.
Dr. Peter Thomas received the donations as he represented the hospital management.
A similar donation was made at Boshang Hospital where 3 Wheelchairs and 30 Test Kits were given.
In his message during the handover ceremonies, “Bishop Mamza expressed profound gratitude to both hospitals for their relentless dedication to humanitarian services.”
While emphasizing the significance of healthcare workers, Dami said their role is critical “in fostering community well-being and urged continued collaboration to address pressing medical needs.”
The donations, whichh were meant to significantly enhance the hospitals’ capacity to serve vulnerable populations in the stata particularlyy those with limited access to medical resourcee,weree lauded by healthcare professionals and community leaders.
Dr. Cyril Jumoso received the donations on behalf of the hospital’s administration and described the gesture as a reaffirmation of the Bishop’s legacy in humanitarian activities.
