Mrs Naomi Bernard Doro, wife of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro, has urged women of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) to mobilise their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 elections.

Mrs Doro made the call while addressing women during a fundraising and fellowship programme organised by the ECWA Women Fellowship, Miango District Church Council (DCC), in her hometown, Kwall, where she also supported an appeal to establish a maternity clinic for women in the Church District.
“I was very happy to be here and to see how well the women are doing. My prayer is that they will continue with grace and strength and succeed in all their endeavours,” Mrs Doro said.
She encouraged the women to support the APC, saying the party-led administration had delivered benefits that, in her view, should be sustained through continued political support.
“Because the government of the day is APC, we are enjoying all the benefits that we are enjoying today because of that government, especially within Plateau,” she said.
Mrs Doro specifically appealed to the women to support Tinubu and Mutfwang in 2027, as well as APC candidates contesting National and State Assembly seats.
“We want to see that all of them that come out from APC can succeed because we want to continue to make progress,” she said.
Speaking separately to The Nigeria Times, Mrs Doro said she was taking her message to communities because she believed the Tinubu administration was performing.
“Tinubu is performing, and he needs our vote in Plateau. I have to come to the grassroots and campaign for Tinubu and Mutfwang,” she said.
She also called for support for APC candidates contesting legislative seats, including candidates seeking to represent the Rukuba/Irigwe constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Mrs Doro’s remarks come amid wider efforts by APC-aligned women’s groups in Plateau State to mobilise women at the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections. The Plateau APC recently launched the Tinubu Torchbearers, a women-led mobilisation structure covering the state’s 17 local government areas.
The ECWA Women Fellowship programme also focused on community development, with participants raising funds towards the proposed maternity clinic. Mrs Doro made a donation to support the project.
Other guests, including former House of Representatives member Musa Agah, former Zobwo Ward councillor Hwenke Tuhu and Irigwe Women Leader Mary Dick-Phar, delivered goodwill messages and contributed to the maternity clinic project.
Doro’s husband, Bernard, was sworn in as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction by President Tinubu in November 2025. The Federal Government identified him as a Plateau State nominee, while his appointment followed the departure of Nentawe Yilwatda from the ministry after he emerged as APC National Chairman.
The minister has publicly linked his mandate to the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and pledged to work toward improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians.
At the women’s gathering, Mrs Doro urged the women to remain active in political participation and use their influence at the grassroots to support the APC candidates she identified ahead of the 2027 elections.
