The Plateau State Football Association (PSFA) is excited to announce the finalized schedule for this year’s Plateau State Governor’s Cup, revealing key details regarding draws, kickoff, and match venues.
In a productive board meeting held over the weekend, under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, the association laid the groundwork for what is anticipated to be an engaging tournament. Ezra Godit, the 1st Vice Chairman and Chairman of the organizing committee shared these developments with journalists following the meeting.
“We are thrilled to inform everyone that after a constructive discussion with the stakeholders involved in Plateau football, we have established the dates for the draws, the kickoff, and the match venues,” he stated.
The draws for the Governor’s Cup are set for December 4, leading up to the tournament’s commencement on December 10. Matchups during the group stage will take place at various venues in Jos, including the New Jos Stadium, Rwang Pam Township Stadium, and St. John’s College.
Defending champions, the Mangu Local Government Area Football Team, are gearing up to defend their title after their impressive victory over Jos North LGA Football Team in last year’s final at the Mangu Mini Stadium.
Football enthusiasts throughout Plateau State are eagerly anticipating this year’s tournament, which aims to showcase outstanding local talent and promote unity through the spirit of sport.
