Plateau-born Senator Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut has presented a copy of her Letter of Credence to South Korea’s Director-General of Protocol ahead of her formal accreditation.
The presentation took place on Thursday in Seoul as part of the diplomatic process preceding the official presentation of her credentials to President Lee Jae-myung, marking the final stage before she assumes full ambassadorial responsibilities.
Daduut, who hails from Plateau State, was recently appointed Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The presentation of the Letter of Credence copy is a standard diplomatic procedure that signals the imminent commencement of her full duties as Nigeria’s envoy to South Korea.
A former senator who represented Plateau South Senatorial District and a professor of French, Daduut is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Korea, with emphasis on trade, technology, education, investment, and economic cooperation.
Her appointment is seen as part of Nigeria’s efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic engagement with South Korea while advancing mutual interests between both countries.
