NYSC Extends 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Camp Opening in Sokoto, Niger

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has extended the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course in Sokoto and Niger States.

The NYSC Management announced the adjustment in a statement signed by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu on Friday 7 August 2026, citing ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps by the respective state governments.

The orientation course, earlier scheduled to commence on a different date, will now begin on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, while the Cut-Off/Swearing-in Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 14.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

The NYSC advised all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) deployed to the two states to take note of the revised dates and make appropriate arrangements.

The scheme also urged PCMs to avoid travelling at night to their respective orientation camps for safety reasons.

The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wished all prospective corps members safe journeys to their orientation camps.
