Hassan Makes Fresh Allegations Against Senator Shehu Buba Over Kogi Meeting

By Palang Paul

Hassan has made fresh allegations against Senator Shehu Buba, linking a purported 2023/2024 meeting in Kogi State to the insecurity currently affecting the state.

In a newly released video, Hassan alleged that the meeting involved several Fulani traditional and religious leaders, including Ardos and Imams.

Hassan said he began recording the gathering but was stopped because, according to him, the meeting was not intended to be recorded.

He further alleged that Senator Shehu Buba sent three representatives to the meeting.

According to Hassan, the gathering was presented as a security meeting but did not include security officials or other stakeholders.

He also alleged that banditry had become an organised business involving some Ardos, claiming that individuals brought money and weapons into the alleged network.

Hassan claimed that plans contributing to the security situation currently affecting Kogi State were made during the meeting.

However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and the footage alone does not establish the claims made by Hassan.

Senator Shehu Buba has previously denied allegations linking him to banditry, describing similar claims as false and politically motivated.
